Government RESOURCE agencies

Hearing aids that you are entitled to


According to some eligibility standards, such as hearing loss percentage, it is possible to obtain a hearing aid through government plans.

RAMQ (Medicare)
Provides eligible customers with one or two hearing aid(s) every 6 years. Repairs and adjustments are also covered.

CSST (Quebec Workmen Compensation Commission)
Covers, every 5 years, two hearing aids, as well as assistive listening devices, according to the hearing loss of any worker being exposed to noise.

DVA (Department of Veterans Affairs)
This institution has extended its hearing program without pre-authorization in order to meet the client’s needs. Every 4 years, the DVA provides two hearing aids, according to some standards. Services, batteries and assistive listening devices are also covered.

SAAQ
Customers who have been subjected to road accidents can, as the case may be, obtain hearing aids through SAAQ.

Some private insurances also cover hearing aids.
